Panyk was an 80′s hair metal tribute/cover band that Nigel formed in 2007 with some friends. Nigel was originally the bass player, then switched to lead guitar, and eventually even on drums at the end due to changing personnel. They played locally in the Greater Vancouver area until early 2009.
Overflow was a band that Nigel co-founded in Prince George, BC in 2003 with Cal Hilde on Bass, Landon Hilde on Drums, and Darrin Schritt on Vocals. Nigel played lead guitar and shared vocal duties. Overflow was a mix of hard rock and acoustic/pop rock. This was where he honed his song-writing skills and began to emerge as a ‘frontman’ in a band scenario. Overflow released one self-titled EP and disbanded in 2005 when Nigel moved to Vancouver and began working on a solo career.
